A Birthday once more.

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NKJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

(NIV replaces thoughts with Plans.)

Today is my birthday, funny thing about birthday’s is that they happen every year, And I want to Thank God for another year on this earth. I’m crossing a threshold, a ‘big’ number. I won’t share that number here since I still wish to remain somewhat anonymous (for now), But suffice it to say that it makes me a little nervous.

But I know that God is in control, He is the One to trust, and the One who knows the future, and actually cares about me! (Enough to adopt me into His family after all.)

I hope that I am being a profitable servant, that what I do actually has a good effect for the Kingdom of God. I do love God, even if I fall sometimes, I am trying to live up to Him (an Impossible Goal), but ultimately God does the real work.

Romans 8:28

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

John 15:4

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

So if I really want myself to be fruitful for God, let Him do the work Through me! I will end with my most favorite verse in the Bible.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So although today is my birthday, and I hope it’s a happy birthday, I ultimately want to Glorify God through it and all my life. I dedicate myself to the best of my ability, and ultimately God’s ability, to that goal.

See you in the Universe :’)

Are we righteous?

Yesterday, in our martial arts class. we talked about whether we are righteous.

We have a little bible study at the end of each, because it’s a Christian class, and ultimately for the glory of God, and the subject was simply this. Are We Righteous?

In Genesis 18:23-26. Abraham pleads for the city of Sodom.

And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it? Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

So the Lord said, “If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”

He started with 50, but again, and again, lowered the number until it became Ten.

then he said, “Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?”

And He said, “I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

So the Lord went His way as soon as He had finished speaking with Abraham; and Abraham returned to his place.

I think that Abraham was pretty sure that at least ten people would be righteous, after all he had family in that city!

But There wasn’t even ten. But God did have mercy on Lot and his family (Abraham’s relatives) leading them out.

(of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous.

“feelings of righteous indignation about pay and conditions” ·

“he is a good, righteous man, I am sure”
synonyms: good · virtuous · upright · upstanding · decent · worthy ·
So here’s the Challenge. If God would come to your city, looking for at least 10 righteous, Would you be one of them? Think about that.
Here’s the secret. Jesus himself gives it to us!
Matthew 22:37-40
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

What LU meant for me (part 2): A Farewell

Finally finished the second part! Go read it on the LUN blog.

LEGO Universe News!

(If you haven’t already, Visit the first post: What LU meant for me (part 1) https://legouniversenews.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/what-lu-meant-for-me-part-1/)

When I look back at LEGO Universe (LU), I see what could’ve been done better. For example, it felt like they announced the game a little early. With the information coming just a little too slow.

And then they redesigned the game, a big no-no in large scale game development because of the extra cost and work needed. And this is an MMOG, An even bigger task.

Comparing the Concept artwork, you can see a big difference. And while I was completely won over by the story concept for the new game, I certainly wish they had kept more of the Sandbox game design as well. (and maybe some of the environments!)

I forgot this Anniversary. Sorta.

So, Like the title said, I forgot this Anniversary. Sorta.

I say Sorta because I’ve been writing about ‘what LU meant for me’ recently and That subject is forever connected to my own blog.

Capture (Anniversary) 2

It’s been 6 years since I started my blog.

Of course, a more direct cause for me starting this blog then LU as a cause was The Legend Team, which also sadly came to an end. (Which I correctly remembered as the FIRST LU rebuilding team!)

God has changed me so much, I now know that I want to be a writer, and also possibly design and develop Videogames. I’ve grown and changed much. I’m certainly a better writer, (Those first posts, Yeash!) I’m much better spiritually, and thanks to a wonderful Church, actually care what God thinks about things.

So I forgot this Anniversary. Sorta. Even if I don’t remember the date. (Today is 2/26/2018) I will still remember the effects that change me forever.

Thanks to you all!

And thanks to God.

the first part of “What LU Meant for me” can be found here: https://legouniversenews.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/what-lu-meant-for-me-part-1/

I’m still working on the other part!

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

Just saw that verse. . .

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” (also see Mark 12:30)

Luke 10:25-28 “And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.”

Love the Lord your God

What LU meant for me (part 1)

This post is the first part of a ‘tribute’ to LEGO universe. Yesterday marked the 6th anniversary of it’s Closure. Like I said in the post, I’ll try to get the second part out fairly quickly but it may take longer then I hope.

LEGO Universe News!

This will be a two-part post, this 1st part will be about LU itself.

The MMORPG, LEGO Universe, was shut down at the end of last month, in the year 2012. (6 years ago) It was a sad thing for many people, but interestingly enough was a turning point in my life. So I want to give glimpse of what LU meant for me, and to later show how God can use all things for His glory.

I found out about LU on the LEGO.com website. It was at the very beginning, they had put up a Teaser site, with the big “Coming Soon” words displayed. I quickly grew excited about the idea, and always paid attention to anything new that came onto the site.

It took a long time before things really started to change, I would look to the Lego message boards. I don’t remember too much about…

Then a friend dies. . .

Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, says the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.*

Have you ever been in the situation when a friend dies? Recently a friend of the family died, he died at work. . . And I’m glad that he was a Christian. . . I don’t know what more I should say, or can, but it’s not easy. Even if we didn’t meet or talk that often, it’s still hard. Even as I’m writing this, I’m shaking a little.

Isn’t everything just a vanity? nonsense, maybe even a breath? What do we know about tomorrow? Our great plans we have for Our lives, what can we really say?

James 4:14 whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

I have to say, I’m actually a little envious. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to leave this hellish earth behind, and to be with God forever and ever?

2 Corinthians 5:6-8 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Didn’t Jesus our Lord and Savior, tell His disciples that He is leaving to prepare for us mansions (Perhaps penthouse apartments 🙂 ) in His father’s house?

John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Just think about that, gives me some joy. Maybe we don’t need to mourn too long. After all, They are already home. It’s us still stuck here on earth.

Let’s make sure we serve God, since that’s all that matters

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:

Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil

One of my favorite songs. . .

Vanities (vanity) *One commentary said that the more accurate term for the word translated as vanity is breath. So it would go. . . Breath of breaths, said the Preacher, breath of breaths; all is breath.)

75 a psalm of Asaph

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare
Psalm 75:1

Me and my brother were just singing this psalm Wednesday night. (To a melody my mother wrote) and I realized right before the sermon how relevant it is to this season.

Do we really thank God for his wonderfulness enough? or about His righteous Judgement?
I wonder if we as the family of God have forgotten about the awesomeness, the terrible power, His Holy nature. . .

And the fact that now, He considers us righteous.

This thanksgiving, and all the days of our lives here on earth, let’s thank Him for His nature. And the fact that He is on our side.  For both the small, and the big things…

75 Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.

Child of God

I was at work (with my father), when me and my brother were talking. And at one point I realized something that gave me tears. A wonderful Truth.

God is so much better then any idea, lie, or religion ever made up about Him. The truth is God loves us so much, He died for us. And not only that, He Adopted us. We who love God are now part of the family of God. God is our Father. Jesus is our Brother.

How can we be children and siblings of God?

This is the awesomeness of our God. This is the truth of our God.

This brings tears to my eyes. What love the Father has lavished upon us, that we might be called His Children!

Jesus, who is the Son of God and part of the Trinity of God, calls us His friends. Calls us His brothers and sisters.

And God is preparing a place for us. And Jesus, our eldest Brother, will come to take us there someday.

How can we describe our God? He never sticks to what we imagine Him to be. He is too wonderful for us, His ways are higher then ours. How can we understand His majesty?

God has adopted all of us who love Him, who trust in Him, who do His will. He has always known we would accept Him, He has long planned for our salvation. We who believe on His name, those of us who come by the way of the cross, are now Children of God.

We are now Joint-heirs with Jesus. Royal Children of God, Princes and Princesses. We are more then orphans now, we are more then redeemed. And this is not our Doing, it’s all God. Not by our works have we earned this, but by faith in what God has done for us.

Isn’t this a Wonderous truth? Almost too wonderful!

Thank you Lord! Amen.

Please forgive me (us)

It’s way too often that we fail God, that we break our promises, that we lose the joy of our salvation.

Psalm 51:12-13 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.  Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

That was David’s prayer, after his adultery and murder…

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
